A survey was conducted to determine how many people knew why their ears popped on airplanes. The majority of people who took the survey (43 out of 61 people) knew--or thought they knew--how this process works. 18 out of 61 people either do not know or do not care why their ears pop on airplanes. The fact that this common question actually has a well-known answer is astonishing.
